Café Royal Books Archive Five

The fifth 100 publications from the ongoing series, which began in July 2012.

Café Royal Books publishes weekly titles, focussing on post-war documentary photography linked to Britain and Ireland — ISSN 2752-5619. This includes the work of photographers from all backgrounds, the known and celebrated, and the under-represented and unseen. Much of the work in Café Royal Books, is previously unpublished.

Each book focuses on a single body of work, and each book is part of the larger, extensive series. As a series the books provide a valuable resource into cultural and social shifts in Britain, Ireland and beyond. Subjects are wide and varied, and include folk customs, protest, industry, place, architectural change, music, politics and religion.

This archive presents titles released between December 2019 – July 2021, listed below. For the sake of history, COVID–19, Coronavirus put the world into lockdown during this period.
